Information specific to InSight SEIS data is given below.

Grouping SEIS data in the Analyst's Notebook

Archive SEIS data in the AN are consolidated into virtual products for ease of listing and ordering products. These virtual products were not created by the InSIght science team and are specific to the AN. SEIS data are grouped by network, station, sol, channel class, band code, instrument code, and location ID. An example virtual product ID is shown below

Virtual product SEIS.CVP.XB.ELYSE.0024.SP.MH.67
ValueDescription
XBNetwork
ELYSEStation
0024Sol
SPChannel
MBand
HInstrument
67Location

The example virtual product above is a container comprising four archive products: xb.elyse.67.mhv.2018.355.4.a, xb.elyse.67.mhv.2018.355.5.a, xb.elyse.67.mhw.2018.355.4.a, xb.elyse.67.mhw.2018.355.5.a.

SEIS charts in the Analyst's Notebook

SEIS data are sometimes presented in chart form in the AN. The charts are intended to give a brief glimpse at the data within the product and usually do not show all values of the product.

SEIS data in SEED format

The SEIS data archived in PDS are also available in SEED format through the Incorporated Research Institutions for Seismology (IRIS) and through the Institut de Physique du Globe de Paris (IPGP).
